Out of the mouth of Kids

My younger sister has twin boys, aged 13, about to turn 14, but sometimes with the wisdom of 50 year olds. Through this summer, she has been introducing the young men to books such as "Think and Grow Rich", "The Go Giver", "How to Win Friends and Influence People", etc.

Not long ago she commented that she was running out of books. We'll be taking a short road trip soon and offered to bring a few books that I thought would be within their current 'theme'. I thought I would share a conversation that she had with the boys this morning.

"Daniel just spent his and Ryan's allowance to purchase Guitar Hero for their little DS (handheld game player). They will be taking turns using it. I told him to be careful because as soon as the Aunts found out there was a GH game in the car, they'd be anxiously awaiting the boys to argue so they could take it from you. Then, I went on to say, "Do you know how much your Aunt Jennifer loves you?" Daniel looked at me with one eyebrow raised (think he knew there was a punch line), and I said, "She loves you so much she's bringing you boys books to help you out over the summer.

He shook his head and said, "I'm not feeling the love here!"

Obviously, they are over-joyed at the prospect.
